Dear families,
What a busy end of term it has been! Between our Easter Hat parade, ANZAC service, concert and debating workshop, we have certainly kept ourselves busy this week.
Today, we say “see you soon” not farewell to many valued and respected staff members.
Firstly, Mr Nathan Leatigaga will be leaving us to commence his parenting leave. We all wish Mr L all the best for the upcoming birth of his precious daughter. Mr L will be returning to us in Term 3. Mrs Farmer will be teaching 1/2L during Mr L’s absence.
Mrs Donaldson is leaving us for the rest of the 2025 school year to commence a new career path. We wish Mrs Donaldson all the best and look forward to her returning to WWPS in the new year. We welcome Miss Gray as the new class teacher of K/6D, to be known now as K/6G.
Mrs Amy Dawson will also be exploring a new career opportunity working at Russell Vale Public School for the rest of 2025. We will certainly miss Mrs Dawon’s smiling face at WWPS and eagerly await her return to our school in 2026. Miss Arsovski and Miss Teixeira will be picking up the teaching duties of Mrs Dawson, working with our children in Kindergarten, Years 1-2 and our support unit.
We also farewell Mrs Sian Morgan for Term 3 as she travels overseas. We wish her exciting adventures and look forward to her return to WWPS in Term 3. Mr Robson will pick up Mrs Morgan’s teaching duties as a Learning and Support Teacher.
I thank our entire WWPS community of children, parents/carers and staff for a happy, and fun Term 1, filled with plenty of learning and laughter.
School returns for children in Term 2 on Wednesday 30 April.
I wish everyone a safe, happy and joyful Autumn break. Happy Easter!
Kind regards,
Michelle Barnes
Principal
