Dear Families,
Welcome to the 2025 school year. I truly hope all members of our wonderful community enjoyed a fun, relaxing, and safe Christmas holiday. This year promises to be filled with exciting opportunities, growth, and cherished memories at WWPS.
THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL
Children return to school tomorrow on Thursday, 6 February. At 9:00 am, students will meet their new teachers in the following areas:
- Kindergarten students – Lower playground
- Stage 1 (Years 1 and 2) – Hall
- Stage 2 (Years 3 and 4) – Assembly area
- Stage 3 (Years 5 and 6) – Library
- Students in our support unit – Lower playground

2025 CALENDAR DATES
Our School Bytes Portal has been updated with important dates for the year. Please save the dates and check the calendar regularly for updates.
TERM 1 DATES
- Start Date – Thursday, 6 February
- End Date – Friday, 11 April
CANTEEN
The school canteen will open on Thursday, 6 February, and will continue to operate every Thursday for the rest of the school year.
SCHOOL SWIMMING CARNIVAL
Our school swimming carnival will take place on Friday, 7 February, at 12:00 pm at the Western Suburbs Pool, Unanderra. Students turning 8 years or older in 2025 who can swim 50 meters are invited to attend. More details are available on School Bytes.
PARENT INFORMATION SESSIONS
We warmly invite all families to attend our parent information sessions, where you’ll have the chance to meet your child’s teacher and learn more about their learning journey this year.

P&C MEETING
Our first P&C meeting for 2025 will be held on Tuesday, 18 February, at 9:00 am in the administration area. We warmly welcome all community members to join us.
We are thrilled to embark on another year of fun, love, laughter, and wonderful learning together. Thank you for your ongoing support, and we look forward to an incredible year at WWPS!
