21 Oct 2024
Dear families,
We have enjoyed a wonderfully settled and happy start to the final term of the 2024 school year.
Transition to school program
It was an absolute delight to meet our Kindergarten children starting school in 2025 and their families at our first transition session last Friday. Our transition sessions will continue for the next three Fridays 9:15am-10:30am. Children will be participating in play and learning activities in the kindergarten classrooms, while our parents/carers attend information sessions in the school hall. If you are yet to enrol your child in Kindergarten at our school for next year, please contact our office as a matter of urgency.
Swim Scheme
At the end of last term, children from Year 2 onwards had the opportunity to participate in Swim Scheme. The children loved the opportunity to hop in Corrimal Pool to learn about water safety and basic swim skills. Thank you Mr Bell for your exceptional organisation of this initiative.
Grandparents’ Day
Tomorrow our P&C will be hosting Grandparent’s Day. All family members are warmly invited to a special assembly in our school hall commencing at 9:30am. Family members will then have the opportunity to visit classrooms to complete a craft activity. A special morning tea will then be held. We hope many family members can join us tomorrow morning.
Parent survey
As part of our school's annual self annual self evaluation process, all parents/carers are kindly asked to complete the Tell Them from Me survey. Please do so by following this link - http://nsw.tellthemfromme.com/hwbhx
The survey will close at 5pm this afternoon.
Student attendance
Our school is aiming for all children to have an attendance rate of over 90% in 2025. Over the last month, we have seen a substantial increase in attendance rates. I sincerely thank all parent/carers for supporting your child to be at school and on time every day.
