When a medical practitioner has prescribed medication for a child to be taken during school hours, parents and carers must:
- Notify the school;
- Supply the medication;
- Complete a written request, available through our school office; and
- Provide a letter from a medical practitioner stating the type of medication, dosage and when the medication is to be administered.
These are mandatory requirements for schools to administer both prescribed and over-the-counter medication.
