Welcome letter 2024
Dear families,
Welcome to the 2024 school year. I truly hope that all community members enjoyed a fun-filled, relaxed and safe Christmas break and are returning to school in the new year refreshed and revitalised. It promises to be a wonderful year at WWPS.

Questions or queries
Throughout the school year, there may be instances when you have questions or queries. The first person you should always make contact with is your child’s class teacher. This can be done through the Seesaw app or by phoning our office. If there are further queries following contact with your child’s class teacher, parents/carers are encouraged to reach out to their child’s Assistant Principal. 2024 Assistant Principals are:

2023 Calendar dates
Our website has been updated to communicate important dates in the 2024 school calendar. I encourage all community members to save the date for important school events. Please note that the website calendar is often updated, so please check the calendar regularly throughout the school year.
Term 1 dates
The 2023 school year commenced on Thursday 1 February. Term 1 concludes on Thursday 12 April.
Parent information sessions
In the coming weeks, our school will be holding parent information sessions. These sessions provide an opportunity for families to meet their child’s teacher and to find out about the learning that will be happening in your child’s classroom in 2024. I encourage all parents/carers to attend these important information sessions that are occurring on:
Monday 12 February 8:30am Stage 3 information session in Years 5 and 6 classrooms
Tuesday 13 February 8:30am Stage 2 information session in Years 3 and 4 classrooms
Wednesday 14 February 8:30am Support unit information session in support unit classrooms
Thursday 15 February 8:30am Stage 1 information session in Years 1 and 2 classrooms
Friday 16 February 8:30am Early stage 1 information session in Kindergarten classrooms
P&C meeting
Our first P&C meeting for the school year will be held on Wednesday 7 February at 1:30pm in our school professional learning room. All community members are warmly invited to attend.
The staff of WWPS are all excited and ready for a year of fun, love, laughter and lots of wonderful learning.
