Learning at our school next week

Dear families of Wollongong West Public School,

I extend a very warm thank you to the children, parents/carers and staff of our school for a very successful return to face to face teaching for one day each week. It has been an absolute joy to see our children returning to school this week.

At this stage, we are anticipating that Phase 1 of the managed return to school will continue for next week (Monday 18 May – Friday 22 May). This means that your child will return to school next week on the same day that he/she attended this week, with families being encouraged to support your child with remote learning at home on the other days. Drop off and pick up procedures will remain the same as this week. All children are requested to bring a drink bottle to school on their day of attendance as our bubblers are not to be used for drinking. Children are also asked to bring their remote learning exercise books to school on their allocated day, and students in Years 3-6 are also invited to bring a device to school.

We are expecting that we will be entering a new phase of our managed return to school in the coming weeks where the number of days for face to face teaching for every child will increase. I will keep our community updated with new developments as our school is informed.

Please do not hesitate to contact your child’s teacher via Seesaw or our office on 4229 2096 with any queries.

I wish our community a relaxing weekend.

Kind regards,

Michelle Barnes

Principal
