P&C update – Term 1 Week 7

Tea towel fundraiser

Thank you to everyone for your support and positive feedback about the tea towels. The tea towels look amazing and the fundraiser was a huge success.

Welcome BBQ and camp night out

Thank you to those who attended the welcome BBQ and camp night out. I am told it was a wonderful evening and a great way to welcome new and existing families to our community and the new school year.

Mother’s Day

We will be holding a mufti day on Wednesday 1 May. Students are asked to donate a small gift for the Mother's Day stall. The Mother's Day stall will be held on Wednesday 8 May, where students will be able to purchase a variety of small gifts.

If you are interested in volunteering at the Mother's Day stall, please inform the administration staff in the office. Fathers and grandfathers are encouraged to help out on the day and suport the P&C.

Easter Raffle

We will be holding a mufti day on Thursday 28 March. Students are asked to bring along a chocolate egg or bunny to be donated to the raffle. The chocolate should be fully wrapped and contain no nuts.

Raffle tickets book will soon be sent home for sale and tickets will cost $1 each. Last year's raffle was a great success, as we were able to make many prizes. We hope to have just as many this year. If you are interested in volunteering to wrap the prizes, please inform the administration staff in the office.

The raffle will be drawn on Thursday 11 April and winners will be contacted.

P&C school contributions

The ongoing support of the Wollongong West P&C has meant that we were able to purchase equipment and extra learning opportunities for the students.

  • Once again, we are covering the cost for the Life Education van this year. We feel that it is important that each child has the opportunity to attend.
  • We are also pleased to advise that the P&C have bought 20 iPads and cases for the school to be used in the classrooms.

Annual General Meeting (AGM)

Our AGM will be held on Thursday 4 April at 7:00pm in the Community Hub. During this meeting, executive positions will be chosen. We need a new president and vice president. All community members are encouraged to apply for a position. More information about the positions and the role of the P & C will be sent out soon.
