On Friday 1 March, the students of Wollongong West Public School participated in the 30th anniversary of Clean Up Australia Day. The students picked up rubbish from around the school and the SRC students helped others decided whether their rubbish could be recycled or not.
Clean Up Australia aims to inspire and empower communities to clean up, fix up and conserve our environment. Each class discussed the importance of the day and the importance of keeping our environment clean every day and ways to reduce waste.
