Stories and highlights
There's always something to celebrate at our school! From exciting events to proud moments and everyday wins, here are some of our highlights.
Wollongong West Public School has been recognised as a NAPLAN over-achieving school, as published in a news story in The Daily Telegraph. We have been named among Australia's most exceptional schools, with students exceeding expectations in literacy and numeracy. This success reflects the dedication of our staff, quality teaching methods, data-driven practices, smaller class sizes and additional educators in every classroom for literacy and numeracy lessons. Our focus on high potential and gifted education also contributes to these results. The students’ resilience and strong work ethic, combined with the support and high expectations of parents and carers, have been key to this achievement. Congratulations to everyone at WWPS on this outstanding accomplishment!
